UK Border Agency (UKBA) staff received a total £3.5m in performance related bonuses during the 2010-2011 financial year. Not bad for something branded “not fit for purpose”. But, there again, it was recently claimed that Rupert Murdoch was “not a fit person” to run a major international business and he probably receives pay far in excess of the total UKBA staff.
